Frequently Asked Questions
The primary purpose of the Best Baby Products web site is to help you select the best products for your family at the best possible price.
How are recommended products selected?
Our editorial staff first conducts a comprehensive survey of baby products within a category to determine how well each product will meet your basic expectations. To narrow the selection list they speak with parents and search the internet for baby product information and commentary. They review all of the major books and magazines to further narrow the number of choices which can then be evaluated through a hands-on process.
Please note that our staff does not consist of men in white lab coats who crash test strollers into brick walls at 35 mph. Rather, our editorial staff consists entirely of mothers who understand the practical aspects of baby products. As products are evaluated the best ones emerge as our recommended choice. Product recommendations are re-evaluated every 3 months
Is it safe to buy online?
Virtually all online stores utilize secure server software which encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. Sending a credit card number to an electronic merchant over the Internet is probably the safest way to make such a transaction. In the last week, you may have handed your credit card to a waiter who disappeared with it for five minutes. Faxed your credit card information to a business in New Jersey or called a hotel and gave your card data to a reservation clerk. You may have ordered merchandise from a clothing catalogue, again by reading your credit card information to some unseen operator. Compared with the risk of handing your credit card to a stranger, which you do nearly every day, sending it over the Internet is pretty secure.
